2 Tilley X246B Stormlight lanterns 09. März 2018 22:28 |
Here are two (2) Tilley X246B Stormlight lanterns that were shipped to me (Texas, U.S.A.) all the way from England. I had to wait a little over two months to receive this package but the wait finally paid off.
Right after I initially purchased both X246B lanterns (from the same seller, one is new never used and the other is used) I purchased some replacement parts. I purchased a two whole new, all brass Burner assemblies. Two all brass refurbished Control Cocks and two all brass vapourizers. A kit with all new seals, springs, pump cup, etc. from the Fettle Box and also from Tilley International, directly.
After a good cleaning, refurbishing, seals, etc. parts replaced, etc.. etc. they are all ready to light.
I light them up on my next post.

Alright here are both X246B lanterns, first in the pre-heat stage then lit up.
