I bought a pair of electric lamps today at an antique store. The lamps are about 20 inches tall. They are quite slender and heavy and the top of each lamp is made like a petroleum lamp and the electric part has replaced the wick. It has the Kosmos Brenner emblem on the wick adjuster.

I have researched the web and can find no Kosmos Brenner electric lamp. Are these copies or did Kosmos Brenner in fact make electric lamps that resemble petroleum lamps.

First of all, people here are used to use their full name.
Second the Kosmos burner is a parrafin/petroleum type of burner, not a brand name.
So your lamp has an electric burner camouflaged as a petroleum burner of the brand Kosmos.

It would be helpful if you supplied an image of the lamps, especially of the burner. So we could tell you if these are simply electric lamps in "kero-design" or if they are kerosene lamps which were converted to electricity. Either is possible.
